Who is PilotCheck for?
PilotCheck is a general-aviation companion for pilots, student pilots, instructors, flying clubs, and flight schools who want a more consistent preparation workflow. It supports preparation and reference work; it does not determine whether someone is qualified or authorized to fly.

Which platforms are included in the beta?
PilotCheck is recruiting people who use iPhone, Android, or both. The current qualification flow specifically offers an Android closed test. Invitations, available features, and timing can differ by platform, build, and tester group.

How does beta access work?
Start by joining the PilotCheck beta with your email address. Pilotryx then sends a qualification link to learn which device you use and, for eligible Android users, whether you want to take part in the closed test. If selected, you will receive the relevant testing instructions and can share feedback during the program.

Do PilotCheck tools work offline?
The current beta stores aircraft and checklist information locally on your device and does not automatically upload it. Offline availability can vary by feature and build. Internet access is needed for signup, invitations, updates, and any feature that expressly uses upload or synchronization.

Can I customize checklists for my aircraft?
PilotCheck supports user-configurable aircraft checklists and may let you create, import, modify, organize, and use them. You must verify every checklist item, sequence, limitation, note, and procedure against the current applicable POH/AFM, approved checklist, and operator procedures for the aircraft you are operating.

What is the FRAT based on, and how should I use it?
PilotCheck’s Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT) provides advisory decision support using the information you select and the scoring method in the app. Use the result to identify and weigh risk factors as part of your preparation—not as an authoritative operational assessment.

Can a FRAT result make a go/no-go decision for me?
No. A FRAT result is not an authorization to fly and does not guarantee that a flight is safe. PilotCheck does not make or authorize a go/no-go decision; the pilot remains responsible for independent judgment, applicable procedures, and all operational decisions.

What information is collected when I join the beta?
The initial signup collects your email address. The qualification form may collect the device platform you use, Android-testing interest, a Google Play email when needed for Android testing, and the answers or feedback you choose to provide. Pilotryx also processes limited technical and security information to operate and protect the signup flow. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Is PilotCheck free during beta?
PilotCheck is free during the beta. Pricing after beta has not been announced.
